I'm currently feelin: thankful thankful
I'm currently hearin: New Year's Day on the slane dvd

I don't know about you, but I thank God for U2.
They have helped me through soo so so much.
I went home for the weekend to see my family and home and all that, as I'm having a rather difficult time adjusting to being so far away. I had a great weekend and was feeling good as I drove back to campus from the airport - until I walked into my room. Over the weekend, my roommate moved all of the furniture. I knew she was going to, but I guess I wasn't really expecting it. She split up the rooms and took the bigger of the two rooms in the suite and had my tv and other stuff and all of my junk is in the smaller room...I don't mind so much, but I'm having such a hard time adjusting, that it wasn't something I needed. I sat on my bed and cried for a minute and then got up, moved the tv into my room, and put the slane castle dvd in. It just puts everything in life in perspective and helps you recover and move on and forget about stupid things like how you and your roommate all of the sudden don't get along so well anymore...They keep me from just losing it and breaking things or doing something stupid. This is a small thing, a room change...they help with so much else.

Yeah, they always make me feel so much better. Their music really helped me deal when my dad was in the hospital.

U2 helped me a great deal when I had a hard time living in halls, too. I don't know if I could have stuck it out if I didn't have that band to comfort me.

I got ATYCLB for my 17th birthday, the day before 9/11. It got me through all of that. I think that's why if you asked me what my favorite album was, I'd have to say that one, because it means so much.
U2 changed my entire perspective on life, it seems. If it weren't for them, I probably wouldn't care so much about politics and the issues. I probably wouldn't be where I am, headed for what I'm headed for, you know?

WOW! We're on the same wavelength (sort of). My mother got in a serious car accident this weekend (she'll be okay) so yesterday while I had some time (whatever that is right now) to myself I put on the Slane DVD. That was so needed...

I know how you feel. I just moved 2 states away to start my career, and the first things I did when I moved in, was hang up my U2 Elevation poster, and I put in Rattle & Hum and POPmart back to back.

Music is that healer that there's really no substitute for. Alot of people think I'm strange that I listen to u2 so much, but when you connect with an artist, another soul like that, it makes sense that that's what you listen to, happy or sad.

me too

It sounds like me 4 years ago.
To make a long story short, Fall 2000 was a rough time for me. I bought The Joshua Tree and ATYCLB in early November, and my life has been so much better ever since.

I would love to make a book filled with "U2 memories and moments". Maybe when I get published or something, i can do it.
