::glares at CNN:: "City of Blinding Lights" and "Miracle Drug" happen to be my favorite songs on the album, thank YOU! ::pfffffft:: Jerkheads.

That really wasn't a "hateful" review, IMO. Sure, it wasn't all positive, but it did give credit to U2 on some of the songs. Even People's review, which gave the group 4 out of 4 stars, noted where the album was a little off in the reviewer's mind.

But honestly, so what? People can decide for themselves if they like an album or not. When an album or movie I love gets a good review, I think it's great. But when it doesn't, I really don't care. If I like what I bought, I consider my $ well spent.

Exactly. I don't think ten years from now, or even two years from now, anybody will consider this their greatest album. It doesn't even make my top five U2 albums. But it's still good, and better than just about anything else that came out this year.

I thought it was a fair review. It acknowledges the greatness of U2 while pointing out that this is not their best work.

I didn't think it was a HORRIBLE review. But I do think it was accurate.

Reviews are, when you get to it, a person's opinion. This person doesn't even seem to have a horrible opinion of the album - it just says it's not their best work. I'm okay with it. Doesn't change my opinion of the album in the least. :)

I do not, however, agree with the opinion of 'City of Blinding Lights.' That's a flipping amazing song, as is 'Miracle Drug.'

In my opinion. ;)

I think some of the harshest reviews came from the @U2 staff, but that is just IMO.

It really doesn't matter, the tour is going to kick ass. And where is my letter from Propaganda!?!

Mine just got to my parents' house yesterday (they called me to tell me I had U2 mail, all excited, it was so cute), so I'm sure it is on the way.

Eh, it's CNN. I mean, not exactly what'd I'd call the most authoritative voice on the subject of rock & roll. Same thing goes for Entertainment Weekly. I love the album, and mostly everyone here seems to as well. That's enough for this Jersey Girl. :)

Blasphemy, I say! Let's slaughter them all. Kill them, and bring them back to make them clean the blood splatter off our walls.

That was a bit much, I think. Moving on.

That's not to say the album doesn't have its moments. "All Because of You" and "A Man and a Woman" have the understated power the band generates like no other. They're sneaky songs, gaining depth with each listen.

hahah those were the only songs on the album that still haven't grown on me. This article is crap. The end.
