I'm currently hearin: U2 - Sunday Bloody Sunday

Okay, this is way out there, but there is a song originally by Kent, called 747, and I have a version of it that is covered by Radiohead, Smashing Pumpkins, U2, The Cure, Feeder, Suede, Oasis, and REM. It was just sent to me by a friend of mine so I have no information on it whatsoever, but it really is a good song and I'm curious as to what role U2 had in it. Has anyone ever heard of it?

I'm sure this is a mislabelled file. I have never seen this on U2Wanderer.org's archives (and believe me, I've read those archives extensively), and from my days on filesharing programs, I remember songs would often be errantly labelled with multiple artists who simply never did it. I am 100% certain U2 - and most of the other artists listed - played no role in performing the song you possess.

(As an example of my point, an MP3 of Edge's solo Sunday Bloody Sunday from the Popmart Mexico video frequently circulates under the label of a cover by bands such as Radiohead and Smashing Pumpkins.)

Yeah, generally if it's labelled as five different bands doing one song it's mislabelled. Though sometime I would love to get U2, REM, the Cure, etc. together and make them do a song together, hahah.

My hubby and I are huge fans of both U2 and Kent (husband is from Sweden) and if there were such a thing, we'd know about it around here :)

I should add that 747 is a real song by Kent but U2 has never had any part of any cover of it.
