Subject: [TALKING-HEADS:12170] U2 - John Ritter

Hey guys,

There hasn't really been too much discussion going on here lately, so I thought I would share this interesting piece of conspiracy. On a local radio show here in Chicago, (The Nick Digilio Show) producer and Three's Company fanatic Andy Hermann uncovered something very intriguing. Apparently, in his 1980 television special and on an episode of Three's Company, John Ritter uttered the phrase "Uno, dos, tres, catorce". Now the theory here is that Bono is paying tribute to the memory of Ritter in the opening of Vertigo. So, I wanted to post about it here, assuming many of you are U2 fans, Ritter fans, both, neither, or maybe you're just bored and needed something to think about for a minute. Anyway, here is a link to a 28 second MP3 of John Ritter in 1980, saying the now famous phrase:

and just for fun, here is the same clip fused with Vertigo:

So, what do you guys think about this? I'll pass on any feedback to Andy Hermann, the show's producer and founder of the Ritter-Bono connection. - Rupert Pupkin
