I'm currently feelin: bouncy look what I found!
I'm currently hearin: Luminous Times (Hold On To Love)

Ever listened to Endless Deep and then "Hello" by Evanescence? Tell me the piano isn't doing the exact same line! I'm not pointing fingers, especially since I'd laugh my head off if I knew Amy Lee listened to U2, but it's a fascinating coincidence.

What are some resemblances to other songs you've noticed from U2?

Download the song from Kane: So glad you made it, the bass line is the same as a beginning of a live song of U2 at popmart, I don't know the song, somebody knows it?

Vertigo is EXCEPTIONALLY similar to the old song "Keep Me Hangin' On". . . Fact of the matter is you can easily interchange the choruses.

"Set me free why don't you babe, get out of my life why don't you babe. . ." etc.

with

"Hello, hello I'm at a place called vertigo. . ."

U2 got a song in their head and it made it to one of their albums. I'm wondering who else has noticed this, as it hasn't been said as far as I can tell.

The drums at the beginning of Coldplay's "In My Place" almost always catch me into thinking I'm listening to Bullet the Blue Sky. Also I'm to agree with Answer Guy and note that the guitar line in SYCMIOYO is quite similar to that in the Cure's "Pictures of You".

Yes! Funny you should say that. I was watching some U2 video on Launch and when it was over it went to that very song, and I didn't believe I was watching Coldplay. Shows you how long I've neglected poor Coldplay! What a coincidink

Whenever I listen to "Give Me Novacaine" by Green Day, I always think of "Bullet the Blue Sky" because the intros are the same. Unless Green Day meant for that to happen? :)

Ditto. The bass in Longwave - Everywhere You Turn is also very similar to With or Without You.

"Take a Picture" by Filter always sounded eerily like "Bad" to me in certain places.

Ha, so talk about being incredibly vague here but...

There's a Blink 182 (I think?) song that takes the drum part from Sunday Bloody Sunday and almost recopies it exactly.

I'm not sure about U2, but a part of "Just a Touch Away" by Echo and the Bunnymen sounds exactly like one of the songs from Bowie's The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars..
