They'll most likely pick up Texas shows on the third leg, since a month of shows had to be dropped to accomodate Edge/his family/whomever.

I feel your pain. I was worried they'd be in my town when I'm in Indianapolis for Star Wars Celebration 3, but it looks like they aren't coming to Minneapolis at all. :(

I hope so. I know the last time they were MPLS the Twins were playing the Yankees and I believe it was September... so if they come back to the US I hope my city is included.

I think a third leg of the tour is supposed to head back to North America so your city might still see this tour...

I totally second your WTF-ness. What worries me is that even if they do come here later I might not be here, cos I might be back at school in the northeast. But when they're there I have to still be here. Grrr.

Don't give up all hope, there's still the second leg. (Ha, says the girl who's been seething for the last two hours because the entire Midwest has been pooped on.) I'm trying to stay optimistic. I mean, there aren't that many people who will want to go to Chicago, right? < /sarcasm >

Seriously. I hope the second leg covers more states, too. Texas is huge, they've got to make a stop sometime. Right?

I feel your pain as well. I was worried that they would come to Dallas and not Austin (which still would've been okay, just a little inconvenient)...now I find that the entire South and Midwest, except Chicago, gets totally ignored. Yeah, I know, they're going to come to the places they skipped on the third leg. That's great -- right when I'm going to be out of the country. I just have to hope that I can manage to go to Europe sometime during August to catch them then. Not that I have tons of money to do this with...

I agree, there is always the second leg. As it is, I am going to have to cut class to get online to ticketbastard to hopefully get two GA tickets. One of the original rumored tour schedules had U2 playing Hartford and Albany during my spring break. Sigh.

And don't forget what happened during Elevation, where all of a sudden the arena could have them for one more night, thus one more concert and that many more tickets. How money makes the world go round...

I think that what happened is that the pushing back of the start of the tour screwed up a lot of the dates in the first leg. From the large amounts of time between the posted dates, I think they might be still trying to pick up a show here or there. Since most of the European part was already booked solid, they probably had a finite amount of time to fit any US shows in before they had to go over there. I'll bet you that the US return leg is full of dates in cities that aren't being played during the initial trip.

Yeah it sucks, I live in Denton and the closest place is Denver or something like that. My friend and I decided that we are going to take some time off and fly up to New York to see the concert, I think it will definitely be worth the money.

I'm from Houston and ever since I became a U2 fan (back in 1984)they have always played in Texas (Houston, Dallas and Austin). They will be back in the fall and will visit that state, don't worry. I know it sucks though they won't be coming through this time around. I live in Maryland now and the closest for me is Philly.
