I'm currently feelin: annoyed annoyed

Only ONE night, at ONE venue in Canada for the first leg of the North American tour. Insulting. Better be multiple nights at both Toronto and Montreal during the second leg....

You know, that fact didn't register with me when I first looked over the tour dates, but you're right.

I'm pretty surprised that the band is playing such a limited number of cities on the first leg. The entire southeast US, most of the midwest (except for Chicago), and now all but the west coast of Canada are completely being ignored. The closest gigs to eastern Canada is Boston and New York, and that's still asking thousands of fans to travel a fair distance and cross an international border in doing so. *shakes head*

It *is* insulting. I hope TO and Montreal (at the very least) get shows on the third leg. :\

I willing to forgive. In fact I will. Fact of the matter, dates likely got slashed due to the 'routing', and likely recent family stresses for the Edge. I'd be a complete ass if I didn't at least recognize that.

Still, it's disappointing to see that something more wasn't possible. But there are a many factors; the bands schedule, travel, availability of venues etc.

Part of me just can't help but feel shafted by the situation though.

I'm actually surprised they're moving ahead with the tour since Sian is so ill. I can only imagine what type of hell Edge and his family are going through right now.

Perhaps it would have been better if they just postponed the tour altogether. :\

You're not alone in feeling shafted. A lot of people are feeling so for various reasons. It's just sort of a bizarre, surreal time.

Yeah, I was totally pissed at the lack of dates there were. I know it's just the first leg but I don't really want to drive to NYC or Boston, which is the closest they are playing to my hometown, Rochester, NY.
I did go see them in Boston for Popmart but I'd rather wait to see if they play Buffalo, Toronto, or Syracuse.

We'll just have to be patient. :) You'll get a Toronto show, and I'll get an Ottawa show (in a perfect world). If not, I'll have to make my way to Montreal.

I hope so!!! I was so looking forward to it and I'm slowly panicking as to when they'll announce the other dates. EEP!

Yeah I understand as well.

Nothing announced for like, THE WHOLE SOUTH. I'm at school in Nashville....which, is a pretty big city. Hell, I'd even drive to Atlanta (4 hours away), but that wasn't announced either.

Here's to the 3rd leg!

I noticed that, too. I'm in the Midwest, where there are probably about four million U2 fans who are going to be grappling for those Chicago shows.

The problem I'm having right now is that they said the tour would be 'postponed,' not 'shortened.' If these are the cities they originally had in mind... I don't know.
