Another Perspective.... @ 12:04 am
I'm currently feelin:
hopeful

I'm currently hearin: U2: Please
After reading everything that's been going on, I suddenly felt the need to chime in and give my two cents worth. Please don't flame me.....I'm just being...I dunno, actually.
I've been a U2 fan for seven years. It all started when I saw the "Please" video. I knew about them, sure. I just never paid all that much attention to them until then. I know, shock...gasp! Now, I have several of the CDs, the iPod, I'm attempting to download The Complete U2 (--don't ask!), and...I think that's it.
Now, this is the second tour when I've been a fan and I would love to go. I wasn't able to even think about it during the Elevation tour due to finances the first time and really bad timing the second time (They came through Denver twice) Besides, I thought that there would be other tours.
Now, I'm hearing all the news and heartache about the presale woes. And, frankly, I feel that everyone got ripped off. $40 for the U2.com membership and then codes that don't work. It makes you wonder what will happen next.
I've never been to a concert, much less a U2 concert. No, I'm not kidding. I've had a rather sheltered life and an ex that never wanted to spend money unless it directly benefited him.
So, on Saturday morning, I plan on getting up and heading out to a Ticketmaster outlet and hope that I get tickets. WIth all that's been going on, I will be happy to get nosebleed seats.
To be honest, I just wanna go....just for the sake of going. I don't care where I'm sitting. I really don't. Like I said, I just wanna go.
My question is this: Are there more people like me that just want to go and see the band? There has to be. I mean, kudos to the people that got the GA tickets. I envy you. But, I just want to be able to go. And, it's all luck of the draw. It kinda sucks.
Anyway, I hope you all understand what I'm saying. I'm not trying to offend anyone. I just wanted to say that there is someone who sees it way differently.
